10 Tips for Feeling Good

Sometimes all of us need reminders on how to feel good. With the seasons changing, now’s a better time than ever to do something nice for yourself. Here are 10 tips for how to feel good:

1. Hydration

I recently began starting every morning with a bottle of lemon water. Not only is it good to drink water first thing in the morning, adding lemon has lots of benefits! It makes me feel refreshed and ready to start the day, gives my skin a nice healthy glow, and even reduces my craving for caffeine on those super early mornings. The best thing to do is to make the water the night before and put it in the refrigerator. Then when you wake up, grab the bottle and sip on it before breakfast while you get ready for your day!

2. Skincare

I had never felt better about my skin than when I started really taking care of it. It is SUPER important to take your makeup off before bed so your skin can breathe. I’ve noticed that leaving my eye makeup on while I sleep causes me to have puffy eyes in the morning, and no one wants that! The most effective routine for me is: remove makeup with Earthly Dreams Cleansing Oil, apply a small amount of Radiant Beauty Elixir (or another serum depending on your skin’s needs) to your face, give your face a spritz of Soothing Citrus Toner (or any of our toners), and finally apply your Everyday Face Lotion or another of our moisturizers. I guarantee you will wake up feeling naturally beautiful and healthy!

3. Exfoliating

One of my favorite things to do for my skin is exfoliating. My favorite shower product is by far our Sugar Citrus Salt Glow. Apply and massage that into your skin in the shower, and when you get out you will feel like you have been hugged by 1,000 angels. I also love to use the facial scrubs as exfoliates. The Cocoa Facial Scrub is my favorite because of how soft it makes my skin, and,if we’re being honest, who doesn’t love chocolate?

4. Relaxation

Giving yourself a break is so important! Sometimes the best thing to do for yourself is put away all electronics and stressors, light some candles, and get in a bath with some bath teas and a glass of wine. 5. Makeup

Who doesn’t love playing with makeup? Even if you have nowhere to go, sometimes it is so much fun to just play around with fun makeup colors and see what looks you can come up with! Try some crazy eyeshadow color that you would never think to wear or experiment applying eyeliner in different ways. You might find a new favorite look!

6. Going outside

One thing that I recently learned about myself is that sun can make me feel good no matter what. If I am sad, angry, or upset in any way, going outside helps at least a little bit! If you are having a rough day, step outside for a few minutes, take some deep breaths, and give yourself a second to reset. I guarantee you will be in a new headspace when it’s time to get back to work.

7. Exercise

I know, this is not the easiest or most fun tip but it is an effective way to feel good! Whether you run 10 miles or walk to the coffee shop instead of driving, any form of movement will make you feel good during the day. 8. Green smoothies

This probably sounds like one of those “health nut” trends, but green smoothies are my absolute favorite things to have for breakfast. Unfortunately, nice blenders such as the Vitamix are a bit of an investment, but I promise it is worth it. What better way to feel good about yourself than knowing you started your day with kale, spinach and fresh fruit? Between lemon water and green smoothies, my cravings for coffee and sweet espresso drinks in the morning are pretty much obsolete.

9. Cuddling

Whether it’s with your sweetie, your best friend, or your pet cat, cuddling is proven to release calming chemicals in your brain that make you feel safe and relaxed. Invite your friends over for a movie night, pile onto the couch, and enjoy the company of other people!

10. Drink tea

The power of tea is incredible. Sometimes the best thing to do is end your day with sleepy time tea and a good book. There is no better way to end your long work day than sipping tea from your favorite mug and reflecting. Or if you’re feeling social, why not invite a friend over for a tea party? They do have tea time in England for a reason after all.

Don’t forget that your happiness should come before everything else, so always make sure to take care yourself!
